How it works

Four steps, one PIN

UGO | LINK is a rendezvous system — J-Brok's server only introduces the two machines. Your USB traffic never goes through our servers.

Claim your Free pairing PIN

Fill in your name and phone number in the Claim section below. A 12-character pairing PIN will be instantly generated for you, completely free of charge during our 1-year promotional period.

Install UGO | LINK

Use your generated PIN to unlock the UGO | LINK download. Run UGO LINK Setup 0.2.0-usbip.exe — it installs the app and the USB engine driver silently in the background. Reboot once after install to activate the driver, then you're set for good.

Run the app on both machines

On the machine carrying the USB device, set UGO | LINK to Client mode ("I have the USB") and share the device. On the receiving machine, select Host mode ("I want the USB"). Enter the same pairing PIN on both endpoints.

Remote Connection Established

Click Connect. The two instances automatically handshake (routing first through LAN, then P2P hole-punching if necessary). The offered device appears on the Host machine — click Attach and it mounts as if plugged in locally.

Using UGO | LINK

Follow these steps on both machines. One runs in Client mode (has the USB device), the other in Host mode (wants the device).

Buy a pairing PIN
One person buys a PIN from this page (or use a free Demo PIN to test). Share it with the other machine via WhatsApp or chat — it's just a short code.
PIN format: ABCD-EF23-GH45. One PIN = one paired session. Keep it safe.
Step 02 Both machines
Verify PIN & download
Scroll to "I already have a PIN" on this page. Enter your PIN to verify it, then click Download UGO | LINK for Windows to get the installer.

Run UGO LINK Setup 0.2.0-usbip.exe
Step 03 Both machines
Install & reboot once
Run UGO LINK Setup 0.2.0-usbip.exe. It installs the app and sets up the USB engine driver silently in the background — no extra wizards. When it finishes, reboot the PC once to activate the driver, then open UGO LINK from the desktop shortcut.
Windows SmartScreen may warn you — click More info → Run anyway. The app is safe. Note: Secure Boot must be OFF in BIOS/UEFI for the USB driver to load (the app warns you if it's on).

Enter your PIN in the app
Open the Connect tab and type your PIN in the Pairing PIN box. The app auto-formats it and saves it for your next session.

Step 05 Each machine picks its role
Choose Client or Host
On the main screen, pick your role. The app colour changes to match:
Client — I have the USB Host — I want the USB
Red = Client  ·  Cyan = Host — always visible at a glance.
Step 06 Client only (has the USB)
Share the USB device
Open the USB Devices panel and click Share next to the device you want to offer. Its status flips to "Shared". All other USB devices stay private — only what you share is offered, and you can share or unshare devices live without reconnecting.
Plug in the USB device first, then click Refresh if it doesn't appear in the list.
Step 07 Both machines — simultaneously
Click Connect on both
Back in the Connect tab, press Connect on both machines. They contact J-Brok's rendezvous server, find each other, and establish the link.

Step 08 Host machine
Attach the device — done!
On the Host machine, the offered device appears under Remote Devices in the USB panel. Click Attach — it mounts as if plugged in locally. Open Device Manager — it's there. Any software that uses that device can now run on the host.
Click Detach on a single device, or Disconnect on either machine to end the whole session.

FAQ

Common questions

No. J-Brok's server only introduces the two machines by matching their PINs. Once matched, the two machines connect directly — over your LAN, or peer-to-peer over the internet. The USB stream never passes through our servers.
Currently Linux x86_64 only. Windows and macOS support requires a signed virtual USB driver — it's on the roadmap. If you need Windows support contact us and we'll prioritize it.
Each PIN is for one pairing session only. If you need to pair again (same or different devices), you'll need a new PIN. This keeps the system secure — a PIN that's been used can't be hijacked.
The connection closes automatically. The UGO | LINK binary checks in every 2 minutes and receives a "terminate" command when the PIN expires. No action needed — both machines will disconnect cleanly.
UGO | LINK tries multiple connection paths automatically: same LAN first, then direct public IP, then UDP hole-punching for double-NAT situations, and finally a relay fallback. Most connections work without any router configuration.
