Terms & Conditions

Part 1 — Repair & Tech Services

1. Acceptance of Terms

By dropping off a device at J-Brok Gat-Jet, placing an online booking, or using any J-Brok service (repair, store, or UGO Signage), you agree to these terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

These terms are governed by the laws of Cameroon. Any disputes shall first be attempted through direct negotiation with management at our Buea premises.

2. Repair Services

  • All repairs begin with a free diagnosis. A written or verbal quote is provided before any work starts.
  • You must approve the quote before we proceed. No unapproved repair work will be carried out.
  • We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, software issues, undisclosed faults, or data loss during hardware repair.
  • Back up your data before any repair. We strongly recommend this — we do not guarantee data preservation.
  • Parts ordered specifically for your repair must be paid for upfront and are non-refundable once ordered.
  • Repair timelines are estimates, not guarantees. Complex repairs may take longer.

3. Warranty Policy

  • All repairs carry a 30-day warranty on the specific part or service performed.
  • Warranty is void if the device is opened or tampered with by another technician after our repair.
  • Physical damage, water damage, and misuse after repair are not covered.
  • Warranty covers the same fault only — unrelated issues are not included.
  • To claim warranty, return the device with your original receipt or repair reference number.

4. Payment — Repair Services

  • Payment is due on collection of the repaired device.
  • A deposit may be required for high-cost parts or urgent repairs.
  • Accepted payments: Cash (XAF), MTN Mobile Money, Orange Money.
  • Disputed charges must be raised at time of collection. Post-collection disputes are not accepted.

5. Uncollected Devices

Devices not collected within 60 days of repair completion notification will incur a storage fee of 200 XAF/day. After 90 days, uncollected devices may be sold for parts or disposed of to recover costs. We will make at least two contact attempts (call + WhatsApp) before any disposal action.

6. FRP & Account Unlock Services

We perform FRP bypass, Apple ID removal, and account unlock services only where the customer provides satisfactory proof of ownership (original purchase receipt, IMEI documentation, government ID match, or manufacturer support case). We do not assist with theft, fraud, unauthorized device access, or any activity that violates Cameroonian law or third-party terms of service.

Note: Providing false proof of ownership to obtain unlock services is a criminal offence. J-Brok reserves the right to refuse any unlock request and report suspected fraud to authorities.
Part 2 — UGO Signage Digital Advertising

7. UGO Signage — Platform Overview

UGO Signage is a cloud-managed digital advertising platform operated by J-Brok Gat-Jet. It enables businesses ("Advertisers") to display content on connected screens ("Screens") across the network. By registering an account, submitting a campaign, or using any part of the UGO Signage platform, you agree to the terms in this section.

8. Advertiser Obligations & Content Rules

Advertisers are fully responsible for all content they submit. By uploading media to UGO Signage, you confirm that:

  • You own or hold a valid licence for all content (images, video, music, logos, trademarks).
  • Your content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Your content is truthful, accurate, and not misleading or fraudulent.
  • You accept sole legal liability for any claims arising from your content.

The following content is strictly prohibited:

  • Sexually explicit or adult material
  • Content promoting violence, hate speech, or discrimination
  • Political campaign material without prior written approval from J-Brok admin
  • Flashing, strobing, or content that could trigger photosensitive reactions
  • Content defaming competitors or making unverified comparative claims
  • Illegal product or service advertising (unlicensed pharmaceuticals, counterfeit goods, etc.)
  • Content that violates any applicable Cameroonian or international law
Consequence: Prohibited content will be removed immediately, any tokens spent will be forfeited, and repeat offenders may be permanently banned from the platform.

9. Media Upload Requirements

All uploaded files must meet the following technical specifications for broadcast:

Content design rules:

  • Text must be legible from at least 3 metres — use minimum 48pt equivalent font sizes.
  • Maintain a 10% safe margin on all edges to avoid edge clipping on various displays.
  • High contrast between text and background is required for readability.
  • Videos play muted by default. Audio will only play on screens where the owner has enabled sound.

J-Brok reserves the right to reject or remove any file that does not meet these requirements or is deemed unsuitable for public display, without refund of tokens.

10. Broadcast Approval & Scheduling

  • All campaigns submitted through the platform are subject to admin review before going live. Review typically completes within 24 hours on business days.
  • Scheduled campaigns activate at the selected time only after admin approval. Unapproved campaigns will not broadcast.
  • J-Brok admin may reject any campaign for any reason including but not limited to: prohibited content, technical issues, or screen availability.
  • Advertisers will be notified of approval or rejection via their dashboard and, where possible, via phone/WhatsApp.
  • Approved campaigns may be cancelled by the advertiser at any time. Unused tokens from cancelled campaigns are returned to wallet.
  • J-Brok may interrupt or remove a live campaign at any time if the content is found to violate these terms, without prior notice.

11. Tokens, Payment & Refund Policy

Token system: UGO Signage uses a prepaid token wallet. Tokens are purchased and deducted as campaigns run.

Payment methods: MTN Mobile Money, Orange Money, Cash (in-store).

Refund policy:

  • Tokens spent on completed broadcasts are non-refundable.
  • Tokens spent on campaigns that were rejected by admin before broadcast are fully refunded to wallet.
  • Tokens spent on campaigns cancelled by the advertiser before broadcast are fully refunded to wallet.
  • Tokens spent on campaigns interrupted by J-Brok for content violations are forfeited.
  • Unused wallet tokens may be refunded within 14 days of top-up on request, less a 5% processing fee. After 14 days, tokens are non-refundable.
  • Token pricing may change with 7 days' notice via the platform. Rate changes do not affect tokens already in your wallet.

12. Live URL Service

The Live URL service allows approved advertisers to broadcast a live webpage on UGO Signage screens for a defined duration per playlist cycle.

  • Live URL requests are subject to admin approval and must comply with all content rules in Section 8.
  • The advertiser is responsible for ensuring the URL is accessible, loads correctly, and does not contain prohibited content.
  • J-Brok is not liable for content displayed within third-party URLs during broadcasts.
  • If a Live URL fails to load or crashes during broadcast, J-Brok will attempt to end the slot and resume the playlist. No refund is given for technical failures caused by the advertiser's URL.
  • Live URL broadcast windows are defined by start and end times set by admin. The per-cycle duration determines how long the URL plays each time it appears in the screen's rotation.
  • Live URLs must not redirect to download pages, payment gateways without prior disclosure, or any content not visible to all ages.

13. Screen Owner Agreement

Businesses or individuals who connect a display screen to the UGO Signage network agree to the following:

  • The screen must be publicly visible and operated in a legitimate commercial or public setting.
  • Screen owners must not interfere with, disable, or tamper with the UGO Signage software or playlist management.
  • Screen owners accept that advertiser content may include third-party brands, products, or services.
  • Revenue sharing arrangements (where applicable) are agreed separately in writing with J-Brok management.
  • J-Brok may remove a screen from the network at any time if the owner violates these terms.
  • Screen owners are responsible for the physical security, electricity supply, and internet connectivity of their devices.

14. Service Availability & Uptime

J-Brok Gat-Jet operates UGO Signage on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee 100% uptime or uninterrupted broadcast delivery.

  • Scheduled maintenance may temporarily interrupt the platform. We aim to perform maintenance during off-peak hours and will notify advertisers where possible.
  • Internet outages at screen locations may cause broadcast gaps. UGO Signage includes offline caching to minimize impact.
  • J-Brok is not liable for broadcast interruptions caused by power outages, third-party internet failures, device hardware failures, or force majeure events.
  • No token credits or refunds are issued for interruptions caused by circumstances outside J-Brok's direct control.
Part 3 — Privacy, Liability & General

15. Privacy & Data

J-Brok Gat-Jet collects personal data (name, phone number, email) during repair intake, online bookings, and UGO Signage account registration. This data is used solely to:

  • Manage and communicate about repairs and campaigns
  • Process payments and maintain transaction records
  • Send service notifications (approval, rejection, campaign status)
  • Analyse aggregate platform performance (no personal identification in analytics)

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Repair photos may be used for internal quality control or anonymised portfolio use. Viewer QR scan data (star ratings, comments) is shared with the relevant advertiser and may appear in their campaign analytics.

You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us directly. Requests are processed within 14 business days.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • J-Brok Gat-Jet is not liable for data loss, software corruption, or indirect damages arising from repair services beyond the cost of the repair itself.
  • J-Brok is not liable for lost revenue, missed advertising opportunities, or reputational harm resulting from broadcast interruptions, campaign rejections, or platform downtime.
  • Advertisers indemnify J-Brok against any claims, losses, or legal costs arising from the advertiser's content, including intellectual property disputes.
  • Total liability to any single customer in any 12-month period shall not exceed the total amount paid to J-Brok by that customer in the same period.

17. Changes to Terms

J-Brok Gat-Jet reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Changes are effective from the date posted on this page. Material changes affecting UGO Signage pricing or refund policy will be communicated via platform notification with at least 7 days' notice. Continued use of our services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
